As many of you already know (especially if you follow me on Instagram) that one of my goals for 2014 is to build up my “tween” clients. Over time I’ve discovered I LOVE working with this age and I’ve found it is the most under photographed age, something I’m hoping to change! Maybe it’s because my two oldest daughters are ‘tweens now, but I’m suddenly realizing that when I capture them on camera I can still see a tiny bit of my “little girl” in her eyes. I know by the time they are ready for their senior pictures (which will come all too fast!) that they look like full grown women. So I’m loving capturing this age- the last chance to catch that “little girl” on photos to cherish forever. If you have a tween between the ages of 9-13 and you’ve realized it has been a long time since you had them photographed- I encourage you to book a session just for them. This is a life stage you don’t want to miss!
These girls were such a treat to work with- so sweet and (obviously!) photogenic! Their mom wanted to capture some shots of them playing their instruments. Such a fun idea and something we often forget to photograph. I was pleased as punch to start our session listening to them play! 🙂 It was also fun to play around with the indoor lighting options and get some pretty silhouettes.
After getting plenty of instrument shots, we headed outside to a nearby pond to get a few more photos of them together. Such lovely girls! Thanks girls- hope to see you again soon!
