A Senior Session in Chi-Town!

When Kaitlyn asked if we could do her session in her very favorite place, I was a little nervous since I very rarely shoot downtown and so I’m not as familiar with good locations to shoot. But she was up for an adventure and really wanted an urban session, so we decided we’d make it work and hope for the best. Thankfully we had awesome weather and found some perfect spots for gorgeous photos of this graduating senior.
Since I loathe driving into the city, and I thought the train would provide some photo opportunities, we started at the Palatine Metra station…

And why did I choose Palatine? Well for the Starbucks of course. 😉

Perfect little train ride and we got so many cute images!

All of her “favorite things” in one shot. 😉

Once we reached the city- we found plenty to shoot and I was loving the light!

Had to make a quick stop at Willis Tower 🙂

Next we stopped by Second City- a place Kaitlyn has always loved and where she attended several classes over the summer. She is quite the comedian herself, so this was a comfortable place for her to goof off. 😉

Next, we stumbled across this gorgeous nursery in Olde Town, it provided some pretty backdrops for her!

Across the street was a cute spice shop and Kaitlyn’s mom remembered that behind their shop was a beautiful area- and so we asked if we could use it and so glad they said yes! So glad, I LOVED it!

I wanted to shoot on a brick wall and that was easy to find- love this…

And we wrapped up back at the train station, just as the commuter rush was in full swing. She loves the hustle and bustle of the city, so this was a perfect shot to grab.
